R50/53 Battery disconnection...
Didn't see any info on this posted already... so I'll ask now...
I plan on buying the PIAA driving lights from the good folks at Mini-Madness, I'm just curious as to whether or not disconnecting my battery for installing said lights will mess all the settings up in the car, as what can happen in German cars. Anyone know? I don't wanna lose my 3.1 and my convenience settings! lol

I had some stuff done at the dealer which necessitated them disconnecting the battery. In their opinion.
The only settings that were lost were the clock and the trip meter.

That doesn't sound familiar. If there is one, the service tech entered it before he gave the car back, and he was re-setting the clock when I got to the car. I don't remember anything like that being mentioned anywhere in the manual.

YES! there is a code that came on a credit card sized thing that said "ACHTUNG!" on it ... if you don't have that - you don't have a radio when you reconnect
