There are many available, but for the money the Invidia isn't bad we even stock them.

I used a 3" AR Downpipe and catless the rest. Left the resonator. Factory S exhaust. Sounds pretty good and the car is fast too

And it only costs a 3" Downpipe. 3-400 bucks I think it was. What's the worst case ? Gotta buy the rest anyway if you don't like it ?

I have the Invidia Q300 Catback setup on my car - I love it! It makes a very good noise, right now it's not sounding as good as it should due to the fact there is a small leak somewhere either on or near the flexpipe... but once I buy the catless downpipe I want to go with... should fix this issue.

You want an exhaust for PERFORMANCE? Go with at least a 2½" system adapted to the turbo. You want maximum engine breathing capability, go for 3" minimum, port / relieve the head, and work with the manifold. Then there's bigger valves, cams, oversize turbo, and of course a tune for all the extras. Whether or not you go catless should depend on your local laws, or how much grief you want at once-a-year registration.

I doubt if any of the larger performance exhaust systems will have an unacceptable sound. Maybe not quite what you like, but if performance is your priority ---

Having said all that, stick with an exhaust that sounds nice to you. Check out a Mini car club event and listen to a few. Find out which ones you like and don't like, then decide. Once the performance bug bites, you're only satisfied for a little while after the last mod, then you'll want more.

If it's an N14 motor the bigger valves aren't an option yet. They claim there is but it's not. And there's not enough room on the side of the chamber in the head for a bigger valve. Also, the gasket is to close to the edge of the chamber to clearance it further. Open the chamber to far and the had gasket hangs over it'll be prone to burning head gaskets.
