Replacement plastics

Does anyone know of a good (cheap) place to get plastics?
I need to replace the chrome trim on the hood atop the grille. I've seen a few for around $90. I would think I could find a better price.

Are you talking about #5 below? Part here or you could search on www.car-part.com for a used part. That may be the cheapest alternative.

We have the upper chrome part of the grille here: If you get it used they will have pitted marks from rocks most of the time.

Hi folks,

This piece, #5 in the diagram, has come loose on my 2012 Mini Cooper S (R56?). It is secure on the ends but all the fasteners in between are loose. Is this an easy snap-fix? Any help appreciated.

Matt

Hey Matt,
There are plastic clips on the backside of the part and two additional screws near the center. Most likely your clips are broken off so you will need a new piece complete. I purchased mine from Outmotoring for $58.95 plus shipping which was free because I bought a bunch of other stuff at the same time.
