any affordable answer for oil gauge adapter?

after buying 2 different adapters that were the wrong size im curious are there ANY solutions to this cluster-$%^&?? i.e. the tap in the head is M16x1.5 and the sending unit is M16x1.5 [albeit rather sloppy fit..] does anyone know where i can get an adapter to run my stupid oil pressure gauge w/o getting the wrong one or paying some insane price??????

Two of the parts houses I use are Mini Mania and Alta. Both have previously advertised oil gauges, and PROBABLY have the necessary adapters to match. I'm really surprised that the forum vendors haven't chimed in yet. You might check their sites too.

Believe it or not [and ne1 else who owns a 2009/06 mini S chime in here..] the only place you can find the right adapter is in the UK but alas one guy who sells them on ebay for some reason has it to where you cant buy them if you live in the US. Everyplace states they are 3/8"NPT and im here to tell you NOPE! --- they are M16 x 1.5 threads --- after losing so much $ buying adapters that said they work and buying different odd/ends to try to make it work i finally said to h3ll with it and found a cheaper/easier remedy [so if you own said model and wana do a oil pressure gauge ya may wana listen in] I opted for the oil filter adapter you can get on ebay for 17$ that already has 2-3 1/8"npt plugged taps placed around the plate ---- if i would have seen it sooner i would have jumped on it and saved the hassle of having to take off so much junk just to put a gauge off of the oil send unit! --- in my own opinion this is easier/cheaper/faster way to go! lesson learned I hope it will save somebody else the trouble in the future too.
