Marshall Gauges (and some other stuff)

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $2000
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R55, R56, R57, R58, R59, Electrical
Location (Region): SoCal
Item Condition: Brand New

This is a set of three Marshall electronic gauges (oil pressure, water temperature and boost), including sensors, alarm buzzer, adaptors, brackets and cups custom fitted to clear the dash in all tilt positions. They are brand new - never run. Also included is a bracket to mount the factory GPS, which is also available. I have also built a custom wiring loom to aerospace standards using Teflon wire and soldered connections (included). I also include a wiring diagram so you know what goes where.

I no longer own this car, so I don't need these parts. That doesn't mean that I'm giving them away, though. They were very expensive, but I'll let them go for less than the $2000 I put in the ad (I had to put something there!). See photo.

I also have other items - mostly new: Helix intercooler, Alta boost tube set, oil catch can, mud flaps, accessory box that fits in the boot behind the rear seat, compact spare in a "Bag Lady" bag, factory GPS, cup holder caddy. Those last two items are not new, but everything else is.

I never got around to installing this stuff because I was still working full time, and when I retired I had to get more practical transportation. I didn't have room for an extra car, so unfortunately my JCW had to go. That was a hard decision for me because I really loved driving her.

I forgot to mention that I have a Bentley shop manual also. It's in pristine condition. $50 plus shipping and it's yours.

I'm confused on the gauges. I want to add this feature to my car but it looks like craven sells these same gauges for around $900? Are there other add-ons that drove the price up that you had to or chose to get?

Interesting! That setup wasn't available when I bought my gauges or I probably would have gone for it. It's practically identical to mine (Marshall gauges, Craven cups and brackets), except my gauges are not "conventional"; mine are all electronic, so you don't need to run a vacuum/boost hose or oil line into the cab (potentially messy) - just wires. The mechanical gauges are cheaper than the electronic ones. And I'll bet they aren't using Teflon wire to hook things up.

Craven wants $844 for a not quite as as good setup. I'll let mine go for half that, plus shipping.

BTW, mine has a stalk and wiring for mounting the factory GPS. You can't see it very well in the picture, but it's at the right, just above the boost gauge. I'll throw the GPS in too for a total of $600 + postage. Optionally, you could just hang a cellphone on that stalk, but you'd have to fab some way of attaching it.

Apparently, Paypal is the way to go for transactions like this. I'll box everything up and ship it out when you post a payment to toms@pacbell.net.

They are not scratched up, and have never been connected. The GPS doesn't go with them, and I'll have to estimate shipping. What is your zip code?

It's all three of them: Air box to turbo, turbo to intercooler, intercooler to engine. Interestingly, Alta doesn't even offer the last one anymore.

Sorry, I'd rather sell all three as a set. They are black.

$30+shipping, which would be about $15 - depending on where to.

I don't know how much it weighs, so I'd have to go to the post office to find out for sure. My best guess is about $50.

Yes, the manual is gone. Apparently I sold it too cheap!

BTW, I have a bracket I made for the Sonalert. I don't know if I put one in the box with the other stuff, but if I didn't you're welcome to it.

I did send you the Sonalert, didn't I?
