Are these the best directions for removing my air bag and steering wheel, 2006 R52, S model, steptronic.

Yes, You will have a little less room with the paddles shift pads being there. Make sure you disconnect the battery first. Then pierce the two top locations. When the new or old wheel does on make sure its aligned just like the old one on the tick marks on the splined steering shaft.

 

Thanks, it seems like the directions only give "1" piercing point to remove the air bag from, not 2?

Question, do both have to be pressed simultaneously?

Also, I didn't see an entry point on the 2005 MFSW I purchased, was a 2005 air bag removed in the same manner?

 

Two holes at the top , opposite from each other , you can do one side then the other. You can feel it lift off the tangs.
