Hi guys,

Q on title came out when i was driving on track.
when passing corner, computer sensed types were slipping and DSC interupted and cut the power.sth like turbo lag.
on my MCS, when pushing DSC button, instrument cluster shows "DSC OFF". however, it turn out not to be 100% off. DSC still cut the power in same circumstance.
comparing to R56 JCW, when pushing DSC once, cluster shows"traction", when pushing down for about 5s, cluster then shows"DSC OFF" which is really 100% off. DSC no longer cut the power supply.
i guess there is way in NCS coding to 100% turn off the DSC function.

anybody has the idea?

 

The jcw you are talking about has the limited slip in it that's how you activate it

 

does the dash light come on indicating the system activated in this situation?

 

The R56 does not turn off DSC completely and MINI could provide no method to completely disable it for autocrossing.

what a pity then! it brings a very uncomfertable feeling on track when accelerating from the corner!

 

Yes but u get used to it

 

I left DSC on for a high speed autocross run and it hampered acceleration out of corners so badly that I never needed to brake going into corners.

 

Wow it's just a very annoying featuring when I forget u left it on it just cuts so much acceleration lol
