Cross Drilled Rotors

I have a 2011 JCW Hardtop.
Does anyone know who sells cross-drilled rotors (front & rear) that will work as a direct fit with the factory brake/caliper set-up?

Any help is appreciated.

All cross-drilled rotors tend to crack.

This tends to be true. Also they cost more without any noticeable gain in braking.

You can buy the factory rotors in standard blank style or in cross drilled style. I'm not sure if the cross drilled ones are available in the USA, but they are available in many parts of the world.

The part number is 34116784371

A quick search shows mini of kennesaw parts has them quoted for $160 each. These would be special order I imagine

If you can't source them locally, they are definitely available in the UK

I guess I am just lucky. I've had cross drilled and slotted JCW rotors on both of my MINIs and never had any issues with cracking. And I don't exactly baby them...

"ALL" is a pretty big statement. I would say that that is an exaggeration.

On a street driven daily drive no track days car I highly doubt a cross drilled rotor would crack

On a track car weekend warrior with aggressive pads and no consideration for cooling ........ I would agree that there would be a high tendency to possibly surface crack between holes.

Case in point. BMW OEM cross drilled performance rotors on my 128. Weekend track car for 3 years. 12 events a year x 5 sessions a day some 2 day events + some misc auto crosses. And drove the car home every time. In fact still have those rotors as I took off the BBK before I returned it.

Just sayin.

P s for the street behind a nice set of wheels and a fancy caliper you can't beat the look and effect.

OP ECS has some nice rotors. I like rotors with black hats better then the grey hats that tend to rust.

MOTOR ON!

Thanks for the replies. I ordered a set (front/rear) from R1 Concepts. I'll provide some updates in a few weeks.

I run R1 concept slotted/vented rotors. I use them for daily and track use. They've been pretty great so far. I'm sure you'll enjoy them as well.
