How to Care For Rubber Mats

I purchased a set of Front Floor Mat Liners Black for my 2009 R55S and they've been great, but I'm curious what you'd recommend to preserve and protect them?

Thoughts?

Remove them from the vehicle and wash them with a good quality automotive shampoo. Don't use Dawn etc. or harsh cleaners. Also, don't use any protectants etc.

Thanks for the response.

That's what' I'm doing now, but just wanted to confirm that there wasn't something else I could be doing.

We have it as we carry CG, have not tried that yet. I just use car soap and water.

Thanks for the link MiniEnvy!

Car soap seems to be doing to trick thus far, so I think I'll be sticking with that for the time being.
