The Cigarette Lighter wire for 09 MCS

I'm trying to run an Aeroforce gauge in my wifes 09 MCS. It needs to be connected to an alternate power source that is off when the car is off. The cigarette lighter seems to be the one people tap into the most but what color is it? I cant find the answer. I'm open any ideas about other power sources as well!

Don't overthink it. The lighter socket just pops out. Just pull it out and connect to the wire supplying power to the socket.

Just watch when you pop it out there your dont break the clip on the Luminous Ring Surround , then it will not clip back in right.
