Less dust: Brembo vs Redstuff vs Hawk

Top concerns:
1) less brake dust
2) Price
3) noise
4) Life

I hate the amount of brake dust with the stockers. I'm a daily commuter and don't care about the amount of "bite" they all have. I'm sure they are all good quality brakes and will make the car stop. I know about EBCs issues in the past but I think that's all been resolved. I know Brembo is pretty new with their pads for the Mini but I'm sure someone can chime in on brake dust vs stock/EBC/Hawk. I know all above aftermarket pads will yeld less dust vs stock.

Please chime in if you have input on aftermarket vs aftermarket. TIA

I recently replaced my OEM pads with Akebono ceramic pads and love them. Little to no dust, bite excellently and no fading. Zippo noise or other ill affects. They are pricey but well worth it to me as the excessive brake dust was driving me mad.

I think it has more to do with your wheels than the pads. I still have my factory original pads on my car but I think my rota's blow the dust off or something as my wheels NEVER look dirty.

I think it'll be cheaper to buy new pads vs wheels...

+1
Had them on my mini.
Found if you used them regularly in a sprinted manner, their bite was fine...
Did find after about 4 weeks of very light use due to some very bad weather, they were soft, and had to be re-bedded.
But ZERO DUST.

I see that the OP made his decision, but I will chime in. I've had EBC Redstuff, and been happy with them. There is definately dust, but about 1/2 of what the stock pads give off. No noise, better bite than stock, and long lasting (I've got about 40k on them and have at least 1/2 of the pad left).
