Anyone else stuck at VPC in Bayonne for more than a week?

I can't believe it.....production goes ahead of schedule, ships promptly to the port, boat sails on time....(OK, so it was a day late getting into NYC, probably due to bad weather)...and now STUCK IN BAYONNE FOR EIGHT DAYS AND COUNTING!

I recall another recent post about the MINI which was totaled at the VPC and I'm worried..... :evil: :evil: :???: :???:

MINI says it's Jersey City not Bayonne. My MINI was at the VPC for 6-7 days. From what I understand that is the average time while it could be up to 2-3 weeks.

Wierd. I could've sworn one of the MINI folks I talked to said Bayonne. Whatever, it's still at the VPC in NJ.... what the heck, do they have only one person who checks every car? Can't believe it's much of check for most vehicles.

Anyway sorry for the bit**ing. Guess my stay is about average.... IF it ships within the next couple days.....

Greatgro, how close did they deliver your MINI to your estimated delivery date? (Mine was today.)

 

All I know about Bayonne I learned from the Honeymooners:

1. It has lots of mosquitoes.

2. That's the locale of the Raccoon Lodge that the hypnotist The Great Fatchamara belonged to--he was the one who came to entertain at Ralph and Ed's lodge in Brooklyn and then was drafted by Ralph to help him hypnotise Alice so she would give him the money to go to the Raccoons convention in Chicago.

Neither one of these is probably much help to you. . . but I know your MINI will be worth the wait when you finally get it!

My MINI was delivered on the Estimated Delivery Date! But I picked it up less than 2hrs after it arrived at the dealer. Actually, when I called MINIUSA at found out it was released to the carrier, I drove down to the dealer after work and MY MINI beat me there by 20 minutes (My dealer is in Morristown - 40 min from Jersey City).

MINI USA tells me mine has been released to the carrier, but hasn't yet been loaded on a truck.... Since that was yesterday (Friday), I doubt it will leave before Monday. Also, information from MINI USA and the dealer is now conflicting..... sometimes I think it would be better to know nothing! 11 days and counting at the VPC!
