Manic motorsport tune

I am looking into prices for a tune and I hear Manic has a nice one for a 08 S with the N14 engine. I checked the website and read somewhere there is a plug and play with 3 maps and a switch to change between the three.

My car is mostly stock so I'm looking at a stage 1.

Any help on price? Tips on ease of installation? I gotta save up

Thanks in advance

Yeah, I think maybe they were mainly concentrating on the N18 (not sure), but the N14 IS included!

i just recieved my computer back today for my 2008 n14 with the stage 2+. so far with the little driving i have done i love the change. very drivable with a definite power and torque increase. if you have questions i know there are many dealers out there. mariokart helped me through the options and his customer service and knowledge of the tune was the best i could ask for.

I'm stoked, you love the tune and the extra exhaust POP and Crackle programed into Map B and C. Remember to keep my number, I can bring you a JCW turbo and Stage 3+, next time my family is in your area to Ski or camp Or we could just go grab a couple drinks and Jagermiester shots!!
Please let me knew how the weekend goes with your new stage 2+ tune.
Thanks

I've had a stage 2+ Manic tune running catless turbo back and have P0420 code? I was expecting the tune to get rid of the CEL as advertised. I didn't buy the switch but have run the A and B maps and still have CEL.

I have a 2009 MCS (n14). It's been a few weeks and I'm told that Manic is not responding to my dealer. They've not returned my e-mails either.

Did your stage2+ have cold start rough idle issue?
My 2007 stage2+ did.

Took about 12 weeks but WMW got the updated files and "all is well". The first tune must have been way out of wack. Now my stage 2+ (B map) has no more CEL (0420) and "snap crackle pops" like crazy. I was somewhat disappointed with the first try but now I have lots of power and no complaints at all.

Any have a rough idea how much WHP I have?

Thanks Way Motor Works and Manic

OK, the still loving the tune but the burble and pop is a bit annoying. I'm catless and running the Quicksilver exhaust. Shifting above 2,000 rpm's usually gives me burble and most times a loud pop and it attracts a little more attention that I like...especially around police. I like the B map but wondering if adding a resonator would help?
Any other suggestions?

Buy a Vibrant resonator 2.5" oval. The exhaust will be about 15% quieter and give it a deeper sound and gets rid of the high pitched frequencies

By "high pitched frequencies", you mean the loud pop?

The raspiness, the pops will remain, but a lower tone

'

I don't mind the volume so much and like the raspiness. It's the pops that bother me. I know nothing is wrong but it sounds like there is. Maybe I'll leave it alone.

Thanks much for the info MarioKart

Stage 2 and up comes with louder pops and bangs. You can probably get retuned to take that feature off.

I'll have to see if that's possible without affecting the tune. Another trip to WMW in Atl...

The bangs kinda suck!

what dyno ?
On stage 1 my 2013 S was 219WHP 242WTQ Mine was on a dynojet on a 90F day.

Going back to the dyno next month with my stage 2 and hope for 230/250

I too could not stand the noise with the DP so with Marios suggestion I just ordered a vibrant 1141. I went to me exhaust guy ASAP with stage 2 and put my stock res back on, it helped ALOT bit not quite, and I have no pops unless in sport mode which I have no need for since Mario set my temps low , that was the only reason I used sport mode.

I just ordered the Vibrant 1141. I'll have to cut the Quicksilver exhaust to install. Where should I put it

Racing fuel yes, also meth injection to curb cylinder temperatures. Cylinder temperatures are your main enemy especially when running tunes and larger turbos!
