I GOT MYPRODUCTION NUMBER AND SERIAL NUMBER FROM MY DEALER TODAY.
ALL NICE, EXCEPT HOW CAN I TRACK MY CARS PROGRESS FROM HERE IN CANADA?

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

well i got my production number and serial number from my dealer today...what does that mean??Any canadians out there know it can be tracked...and yes i know it will not work tracking with mini usa's owners lounge

did you try asking the dealer if they knew any place where you could check the status? if not try that...

 

The one word answer is NO! You cannot track your car in Canada. It's a sad Canuck story, I'm afraid.

I've had good luck with both my dealer and BMW Customer Service. Both can locate the vehicle, and tell you where in production or in transit it is. Follow my posts on the "Can't Wait For November Club" thread for my own history from Sept. 26 to date. It's been about a 2 month process from build to dealer in Canada.

MINI Woodbridge, outside of Toronto. They're affiliated with a BMW dealer - i.e., they're not a stand-alone MINI dealer. So far very accomodating.

The sales guy (Chris) keeps suggesting add-ons. He knows I want to "individualize" the car, but some of his suggestions are nuts!!!

well from what my dealer says beinga november build it should be a delivery around end of december..but don't expect it till some time first week or so in january with xmas and all things will slow up..*sigh*

input your last 8 or 7 digits of your vin # on this link and you will be able to find the shipping info for you MINI if it has been bookedW&W tracking site
This is the only way to track it. MINI.ca doesn't have a lounge set uplike MINIUSA. If you are east of the Rockeys your MINI will come into Halifax, west of the Rockeys, into Van. Happy Motoring

 

MiniB was ordered in Vancouver which is, at least until the big earthquake comes, west of the Rockies. I was told that MiniB arrived in Halifax the same as her eastern destined sisters. Is this correct?? who knows?? maybe some come direct to Vancouver and others take the Halifax route?

You could be right. I do know that my MINI came into Halifax, I'm in Ontario. I assumed that the Rockey west MINI's went to Van. And you know what you do when you assume...

 

All I got from my dealer is a production number 7 digits
I was told that i can tract with this number but i dont think I can. I know they have made the car by the production No. Or what does this mean. i am hoping to get my car by Christmas

arrived to dealer 28or29/10
drive to home 1/11
Btw, I'm Montreal, the MINI will come to dealer very fast as soon as it landed to Halifax. you could ask ur dealer for the production number, and they will be able to tell u the VIN once the car is ready to build.
