R50/53 Door Lock Accuator
Door Lock Accuator
My drivers side lock has stopped working with the fob but still works with the key. Scanning the web and internet it looks like the actuator has failed. Before I go buying parts, it looks like I'm needing part number one, just looking for confirmation.

Since there are two part #1, make sure you get the correct one
(notice I didn't say get the right one, since you need the left - driver's side)
part # 51200556768
Check out this thread, which has some pictures and tips on how to finagle the
actuator in and out and attach the cables and other attachments in that tight space.
(hint - undo the bolt at the bottom of the door to slide the window mechanism for more room)
Look at post 60 for a good pic and instructions, and also 126 and 147 and 234
