H/K amp - how are they different, R50 vs R52?

They are the same, except for different sound adjustments to compensate for the different interiors.

If I install the R52 h/k amp in my R53, will I notice a difference?

Probably not, without side by side comparison and careful listening. The differences would be in equalization and spatial effects.
