Drivetrain N14 JCW intake pipe size
N14 JCW intake pipe size
My MCS -07 running now JM turbo coopers S42Hp and I using original intake pipe without gasket, because compressor size inlet is bigger.I'm about tobuy JCW rigid intake pipe, but is`t big enough? I use is already JCW airbox and I was wondering what would be the best intake pipe for this S42hp?

I bought the JM 45 turbo and was heading down this road soon. Will be interesting to see what others reply. I have heard the JCW is best for a more torque application..... Heating the rubber to make it stretch over the bigger inlet on the turbo.....
I had the JM 42 on my JCW with the JCW intake. Kept the rubber sleeve if I recall correctly, but to get it on the turbo I did have to heat up the intake tube with a heat gun. Once it was on though it was not going to slip off. lol
Yeh.maybe I can warm up and stretch it,but is it effective?I mean, that the pipe is reduced wrong size immediately after the turbo inlet until later expands to full size.MCS orig.inlet size is about 44mm and S42HP is 50mm,it would be better to expand the tube directly to the 50-70 smoothly without any contractions?Airbox/air massmeter size is 70mm.Is there any manufacturer with "bolt on solutions"?
