Big brake kits with drilled rotors

Has anyone ever experienced stress cracked rotors after running their rides at the track? More specifically, top name brand stuff like Wilwood, Brakeman, Brembo,
I have heard about stress cracks but I seek actual visible verification from those who track their cars.

Oh yeah I've cracked them, I even crack all the way through the plain face rotors. I've used several different brands of rotors but if you really are going to track the car it's more of a heat issue that will be the main cause of cracks. So avoid the drilled as that gives the cracks a place to start, then good pads for your driving skill. Start out softer and go harder as you progress. You want to wear through pads, and keep reusing the rotors if possible when you have the right setup.
Brake cooling ducts will help too.

I knew all about the theory of cracking of cross driller rotors and avoided them for that reason. However, around 8 years ago I was convinced by a rep of a company to try out a set of DBA 5000 series rotors, which at that time were cross drilled. These were advertised as the top of the line product from that company. I figured it should be ok, as DBA is a well respected company that builds race products, and this was advertised as a race product.

Bottom line is that after 2 sessions both front rotors had full thickness cracks extending from the peripheral cross drilled holes to the edge of the discs. I had to take them off and throw them out. I believe the equivalent dba product is now slotted.

In 15 years of racing I have probably gone through 50 sets of rotors. The rest have been plain, slotted or dimpled, and I have never had another full thickness crack. All of them get surface cracks, but that is a different thing and is really just cosmetic.

Don't do it, not worth the risk IMHO.
