Hey All,

A couple years ago I had an '04 Mini Cooper hard top base model and I loved it, but I bought it from a somewhat shady third party dealer and it was kind of on it's way out from day one. Fast forward to Saturday, I went to my local Mini dealer and drove away in a 2015 Black S Convertible with silver stripes! So far, I love it! Does it still have the R57 moniker?

Anyway, I look forward to my time with her ad the roads we'll cover!

Thanks! Here are some photo's. The weather was finally warm today so I took some photo's in the morning, and was able to get the top down around noon. I'm in love!

 

Beautiful car, congrats man. You are one lucky guy to have warm enough weather to put the top down.

I put my top down today for a 20 minute drive but it was only 33 degrees outside so only my dog enjoyed it.

 

Thanks! It's going to be low 30's and windy tomorrow, so that's a no go. It'll pass 50 again on Saturday, so I'm already thinking of a long drive!

 

Beautiful car....I envy the weather! We are at -4 tonight and believe me I wish even 40 was in the forecast but no go. I also picked up a vert today (new to me) 2010 ..absolutely in love with it and can't wait to put the top down.

That looks gorgeous! I had gone in to the dealer after seeing a 2012 white convertible, but it had actually sold that day before I arrived!

I'm already excited that it will be 54 Saturday and 55 Sunday, I can't wait!

Where are you located that it's so cold? It was freezing today, but tomorrow it'll be 54 then 63 on Sunday!

 

I am In Providence RI and we have an arctic current coming through that is going to deliver more snow and frigid temps.
As I type this it is 16 degrees out side, but should warm up tomorrow to 30 and then back down to 20 Sunday. So Suffice to say the top will not be going down anytime soon. Enjoy my brother! I just got the car yesterday and I'm already dying to put the top down! I have at least 5 weeks before the weather gets warmer.

 

Enjoy your new Cabrio, it looks just like my 2011 R57, so maybe it still is called an R57. Hitting 70 degrees in Houston this weekend, so it will be top down!

 

I seem to be in a climate medium between you two! Last night I had to get 4 people in the Mini, and my guitar (after a gig). My friends girlfriend owns a 2011 base model Mini. She was all about putting the top down (in 30 degree weather) with the thought that it wouldn't feel so tight, so down went the roof. Luckily we only had a few blocks to go, but between the heated seats and the heat at 74, it was actually quite cozy! Tomorrow will be in the low 60's here, top's going down for fun!

Hey Joe , I noticed in your pics the center armrest which my car does not have. I've been online looking for one and the only one available is the one that has two dog legs that attach under seat rails. I can not find an oem part # for what you actually have. Was wondering if anyone has this information? I may need to post a thread asking this same question . Needles to say I like the look of yours infinitely better than what's out there.
