2012 Cooper S, Help with replacing Side marker light, rear, right part 63132751334

OK, this is my story... I side swiped my wifes 2012 MINI Cooper S, with my KIA... Needless to say, she's not happy with me. Thankfully, for me, the only real damage it took was a broken side marker light on the wheel well. Thankfully the wheel well is plastic and just bounced back without any damage. So, I ordered the replacement side marker, part in title and am looking endlessly to find a video, a guide, anything that helps with doing this replacement successfully.
I found this thread, but it's for a 2006. Is it any different than this description?
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...placement.html

If anyone has a video or anything that might help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks all.

Sideswipe Bob.

I haven't done this myself, but I would start with removing the wheel and the inner fender liner. My guess is that the wiring and retainer for the light will be obvious, at least that is how the fronts are.

Have fun,
Mike

Sideswipe Bob,
Did you ever replace the side marker?
If so, how did you do it?
Thanks!

"but I would start with removing the wheel and the inner fender liner "

Then you will have a little hex self tapping nut that comes off. Then unlpug the bulb socket and slide the reflector down and out it hooked on that upper tab in the slot on the wheel arch.
