Ohhh.. if anybody is interested...
I also got some sloppy photoshop pix of the dark silver MCS (white roof) on 5 zigen COPSE , racing harts , and RS limited wheels.
Lemme know if you wanna see!

Hey joeynp, how many cars come with a contrasting white roof and mirrors? Not too many, other than the MINI. IMHO, if you have the white roof, you have to go with white wheels. So, the white COPSE gets my nod.
I also agree with DavBret, that the super skinny spokes look odd on the MINI. The COPSE are a powerful-looking set of rims that just seem to say "racetrack", while the other rims seem to say "street-cruiser"...at least to my eyes

Skinny spokes are light weight...that to me says racetrack...
Methinks, your eyes deceive you....

I'll concede that point.
Let me ammend my initial opinion thus: The five spoke design seems to say "classic sportscar, a la Ferrari", while the skinny spokes seem to say "slammed '96 Honda Accord with huge wing, coffee can exhaust tip, and booming stereo".

>>Nice looking!!

>>Is it 18" or 17" ADR? width? What kind of tire and what size? How's the ride any rub?
>>
>>Have you lowered your car?

They are 18" Adrs.. width is 7.5...43 offset (perfect for 18"!).. The tires are 215/35/18...
I havent had a chance to rip it around yet... I'll let you know how it feels...
Yes... the car is lowered w/ H&R springs... did you notice that the back is alot lower than the front? That is because i have a custom box in the back. It probably adds an extra 100 pounds... So in my case: Yes,, the back rubs... and only the back... the front never rubs...
the scraping isnt bad at all....
remember that:
anybody putting 18" wheels on a small car like the MCS should anticipate to drive the car cautiously when going over a ruff road. Especially if you are carrying passengers and if your car is lowered! But occasionally , you will run into the unexpected "bump"... and yes.. thats when MY car scrapes...
Im hoping that koni will come out w/ some adjustable shocks... so that i can raise the back a bit more...
H&R claims that it drops the car 1 - 1.5"? I cant remember...
Other brands of springs and coilovers will drop the car more than that...
therefore, b/c i had a box in the back and wanted 18" rims... I decided to go H&R....
Without a box in the trunk, I cant really imagine the car scraping at all... really!
If you are thinking about putting 18's on and dropping it... i would say GO FOR IT!
If you wanna do all of that and ALSO have a box... then just drive sensibly!
Hope that helps!

i'm most definatly a newbie when it comes to mod's, i'm curious, why does it seem that people with 18's want to lower their mini's? i would think that this would cause more rubbing than anything, am i totally off base? thanks!
Silver COPSE2 look the best to my eye. The thin, multi-spoke wheels just don't look appropriate. The MCS looks best with a powerful rim style, IMHO.
Agree 100%....the thin spoke design doesn't fit the mini tradition.....first mod I made to my MCS was going to lighter 16" wheels with classic mini spoke design and dumping the awful runflats..huge handling improvement with lighter wheels and sticky tires.....
