Texas folks; registration sticker and alternatives

Good morning all,

Moving to Texas in the late spring and they have a registration sticker that sticks to the front windshield.

I have front windshield film for cutting UV and holo' for night driving.

Is there any alternatives for placing the registration sticker?

Cheers!

Texas currently requires two stickers. Registration and annual Inspection. In 2015 there will be a transition to a combined Registration/Inspection sticker so there will only be one which is displayed on the driver side lower corner (inside of course). There is a restriction on length of the film on the windshield but I'm not sure how many inches it is. Never cared for the look myself. FYI, Texas requires a front plate also.

Thanks,

You dont event notice the film is there and it also eliminates putting a sun shield for deflecting the sun.

When you get the next years sticker how hard is it to remove the old sticker?

Cheers!

Due to the hot sun here, the stickers are pretty well baked on after a year. The Registration sticker usually comes off in one piece. Inspection stickers are removed by the shop doing the inspection. They use scrapers because you will find the little pieces of paper on the dash afterwards. The new process that starts in 2015 may allow you to remove and put the new sticker on yourself.

You could always cut out a small area of the film for the sticker. Like you say, it's not noticeable. I would get the dimensions and cut it myself before they put it on and make sure you tell them where to stick it.
