Hi. Just took delivery on my new JCW Countryman. Even though I'm sure the phone functionality will be limited, I'm curious about the snap-in adapters BMW/MINI sell for non-iPhones. I don't have a Samsung phone (nor do I want one), but I see what seems to be a universal snap-in adapter, presumably for any micro-USB phone. BMW P/N is 84212351310, and here's an example:

Does anyone have any opinion as to whether this would fit the snap-in interface in the center armrest of my MINI?

Given that the MINI Connected stuff doesn't seem to work with my phone at all, I'm really only interested in an additional place to charge my phone out of the way, as it's on Bluetooth anyway.

...after looking at some images on teh Google, I think I probably answered my own question - doubtful. It doesn't seem to connect using the same connector that the MINI uses, but rather uses a cable to connect to the car.

Oh, well. Here's hoping someone develops an after-market universal snap-in.
