How to Check Brake Fluid Level?

I did a search and this does not seem to have been discussed before.

I wanted to check my brake fluid level, and found the reservoir under a plastic cover in front of the windshield (near the firewall, on top of the master cylinder, right where you would expect it to be).

I see the "Max" mark on the reservoir, and the fluid level appears to be quite a ways under that, but I can't see a "Min" mark. Is there a "Min" mark? Or perhaps there is no need for a "Min" mark as I would be getting a warning message if the fluid level was too low?

Thanks in advance for your help.
