Independent mechanic near Clearwater/Tampa FL?

Hi everyone! Im looking to get a pre-purchase inspection done on an R50. Since this is my first time buying a car, let alone a mini, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good, trustworthy (and preferably reasonably priced lol) mechanic in the Clearwater/Tampa area who knows about Minis.

Thanks!

Call Ralph at D'Elegance Auto Clinic, just off Ulmerton Road in Largo/Clearwater. He's taken care of my R53 since I got it 4 years ago. Ralph knows MINIs well, does great work, and is very reasonably priced.

I used the European Autohaus in Tampa for my PPI (car was at a dealer in Brandon), so they'd be a good option on the Tampa side.

HTH.

Hey good looking out! I was just about to ask this. I've been out of the area so long I thought about taking it to MINI of Wesley Chapel. Heard good things about them, but I'm sure they're going to charge an arm and a leg.

Hey Ta87,
I was planning on going to autohaus because they are open on Saturdays. They quoted me $150 over the phone for a PPI. Just because of distance and because of other circumstances I took a chance and went to Team Motometrics. Awesome decision. Great service. Will definitely be going back for any work I have done if I end up with a European car. I'm sure both places recommended by Fridayxiii would be great too, I've heard good things.

Well ****, let me see when they're open for an appointment.

I'm active duty and home on a few days of leave before I ship off overseas. The car is going to sit for a while so I wanted to make sure someone reputable gives it a once over before I leave.
