If someone buys these spend the $40 and get the updated insert from Alta (the black spherical bushing)...this will allow you to install them without the steel sleeve. It will then fit directly onto the control arm. The steel sleeve is a POS and will come loose unless you weld it to your control arm.

 

I just checked with Alta and they said the new bushing will not fit the old style.

 

Not sure who you talked to or if they have made a production change, but I did exactly that with mine and I had the old style!!!
