MINI Cooper S, For sale cheap, 250k miles, original owner
That's the ad I plan to place in 2020.
You see, I'm not planning on trading my MINI in. I don't care about resale value. I will not be temped by some other "hot" car. For me, it's MINI for life. I'll drive this car until it will drive no more... then I'll by another, if they are still making them.
Now, I don't have a crystal ball, no one knows what the future will bring... I'm just stating my plans and my attitude about me and my MINI.
Godspeed.

Hey there,
I like your attitude and am trying to adopt the same. Trouble is, I have a lifetime of trading to get over. I've only seen 1 or 2 titles out of 23 cars and trucks. My family has gotten older however, and I see the need to pay off what I have and concentrate on their future.
Thanks for the inspiration!

I like to buy a car and keep it till its dead. My wife likes this trait in me as it gives her some security. I have had 3 cars in 19 years. All I drove till they died. Used 83 Celica blown engin at 85k drove 4 years. 85 Maxima my mom bought new. 130k and it just died while on the road... often and then would restart. Last 2 cars (mine & wifes) 2 proteges both hit 200k One was replaced with an 03 accord 30k and going...one to be replaced when the MCS arrives.
I keep cars along time and am willing to keep them till they die. But I honestly do not think that the MCS will get past 80k with me. English cars are too bloody expensive to fix andd the fact that it is also german and you got one expensive repair bill. I think 80k is its life for me.

My wife described me as "having the patience of a wet fart"
I truly would love to keep a car until it dies. However, I get really annoyed with cars as they start to get older and develop small nagging problems.

It's almost impossible to be better off financially by trading in your car. It doesn't manner how many miles it has on it or what you need to fix if you look at it solely from a cost standpoint you'd still be driving the first car you ever owned.
It is nice sometimes to have something new...but it doesn't save money.

Me too, CooperBeagle!!!! I'm never selling. It's in my will, to go to my favorite nephew. He should get when he's about 75, 50 years from now!
Long live me and my cooper!

Love my MCS.
'92 Mustang since new.
'94 Chev pick-up since new.
'90 HD since new-somewhat relunctantly traded for an '02 with lots of forethought and lots of reasons. For the first month or so I really wasn't sure if I did the right thing but two years out it seems to have been a good decision.
See no reason MCS won't be here a long time!
Motor on!

My ad will be placed in 2005-2006 when my Elise comes in:
"2003 IB/W MCS, only 20,000 one-owner miles, mostly at full tilt. Stoptech BBK, LEDA coilovers, pulley, ALTA CAI, ALTA rear sway bar, RDR camber plates, H-sport end links and rear control arms, custom roll bar, 17" SSR comps - four with P-Zero Corsa's & four with Avon TechR's, stainless steel exhaust and header (don't know whose yet), ECU (GIAC??), Shrick cams(maybe), must see to appreciate."

Hmm, Let's see
1962 MGA 1600 Mk II - Owned since 1979
1969 MGC - Owned since 1998
1996 Audi A6 Avant - Owned since 1999
2003 MCS - Owned since 2002
I don't consider a vehicle properly "broken in" until it has at least 70,000 miles on the Odo.
Currently planned for sale or exchange = None.
Yea, talk to me in about 20 years.
