Sterring Whell Controls

I've been a lurker here for a while and I finally have a question. BTW (His name is DB) I'm getting frustrated with the standard radio/XM that I paid $500 to have programed is very slow to react to inputs from my steering wheel controls. Does anyone else have these issues? Also is there a way to turn on or off the unit from the controls? I can't figure out a way. Why have remote buttons if half the stuff I need to do is on the head unit. There are too many redundant controls/submenus that confuse/irritate/frustrate me continually. Other than that, LUUUV my sport button!!!

I have never notice the steering wheel controls working slow, there is a fraction of a second delay, just like any other car. You cannot turn off the radio with the steering control, I don't think I have ever seen a car that can do that and why would you want to? Just turn down the volume. As far as more functions on the steering wheel, I think there are enough buttons on there already, anymore buttons or functions will make it confusing.

Thanks, I had a 2009 Matrix XRS that just by long pressing the volume up button turned the unit off or on. So it wasn't adding buttons, just more functions on the same button. Hey wasn't I just complaining about the redundant controls. Never mind!

I own a bunch of Toyota vehicles and I know exactly what you mean in regards to the delay. It definitely takes getting used to when moving between cars.
