Does anyone on here have the JCW front bumper yet?

Just curious. I get my car back next week from the body shop with it but I was hoping someone already installed it and could share pics?

How are you getting it next week?

My dealer (in the UK) is telling me the parts are on hold currently from Germany, and are only available to factory orders at present?

Can you share any more info?

I just bugged the body shop until they could get one. They received it yesterday and said I should be able to get the car back next week sometime. I don't know if I'm lucky or not, just possibly the first I guess? I'll post pics on my project thread for sure.

It's a little late to be asking this, but I wonder how much lower the JCW will sit compared to the stock bumper?

I don't expect much if any. I do like the splitter on the UK race car though, which was added on to a JCW bumper.

I can't give figures only impression compared to my 2007 MCS: it's lower but not horribly. I need to go slower where there's an angle between road and driveway. It's gently scraped a few times is all. The F56 JCW pics from an auto show show that the new JCW bumper is WAY different than mine. I'm surprised you can get one, but I think the new JCW body kit was supposed to be available at least in Europe this fall. Maybe this is it.

Yeah I had the JCW kit on my R56 and visually it sat much lower to the ground. The actual difference wasn't that much, but visually it made a huge impact.

I'm wondering if the F56 will be the same.

Those cars have been lowered too. The F56 JCW front looks nothing like the R56 one that I have.

Lowered the same amount, they're the same car. If the F56 has the same effect I may end up going for it after all. With a dark color I think the strange design in the front would be more forgivable.

How come both cars have the JCW side scuttles?

I knew it was too good to be true! Some of the mounting pieces that were supposed to get to the body shop are delayed a couple weeks...and I'll be out of the country until the beginning of December so it's gonna be a good while before I get my car back. Oh well, I've waited a while so a while longer is no big deal.

well the bumper is painted...they just can't install til the rest of the mounting hardware comes in. I'll be out of the country til DEC so I'm sure someone else will have pics posted before me!

There is a 2015 F56 Cooper at the VDC here in SoCal that has the JCW body kit installed. It was too far and moved by too quickly for a pic. Initial reaction was that I really like the rear bumper/valance. Not sure I like the front ... accentuates the lower brake ducts, almost drawing more attention to the most talked about design issue; the front end.

That looks awesome!!! Very curious about the pricing for just the front bumper if you don't mind sharing. Also did they offer the back piece and side skirts as separates as well?

I'm honestly not sure on the pricing yet. Basically I hit a deer and damaged my bumper cover. Rather than replace it with the stock one I just waited patiently for the JCW bumper to come in. When I get back from China and take a look at the bill I'll be glad to share. I'm sure the prices will be MSRP though as it is being covered by insurance up to the cost of the original bumper and I'll just pay out of pocket for the difference to upgrade to the JCW. I can't wait to see it complete and get some good photos!

They did ask if I wanted to do side skirts and the rear bumper but I'm not sure I like them yet so I declined. Time will tell though, I think I like the original rear bumper better than the JCW. I want to keep the car "subtle" and that JCW rear is NOT.

I see...great info. So the JCW front bumper doesn't hang any lower than the rest of the car w/out the kit?

Hm, not really sure as it's all so new still. I don't think it's much lower if any. It doesn't look like any of the JCW full kit is "lower" but just more aggressive. I could be wrong though, once I get back and look at the side profile I'll know for sure.

Also, just noticed your sig. Check out my intro/build thread if you want to see some more pics of basically what your car will look like:

Im not sure how much I like the new bumper. It looks pretty cool. I guess I was hoping the bumper would get rid of the license plate black bar. I want to remove that ****ing thing so bad. It looks horrible in my opinion
