Will 225/45/17 rub with NM Springs?

Hey :-)
Just wondering if anyone out there has ran or is running 225/45R17 tires with the NM Spings?
<I have the 2011 Cooper S with Stock 17" JCW Challenge Wheels>
Thanks ><>

They may not rub, but they might start to look like there is too much sidewall. I would look at 225/40's instead.

On stock, I'm not sure how it is, but I had 17x7.5 +38 offset and ran 225/45/17 Hankook RS-3's and I rubbed everywhere. 215's are really the sweet spot. 225 is too much tire on stock 7" wide wheels...

Thanks all!
I am running the 215"s without issues but wanted to go wider. 225/40 sounds interesting... Hey Big Jim, have you ran these on spings without rubbing?

I've just run the 215/45-17's on stock springs and rims. I think that's the best setup for a daily driver. The 225/40's are going to be about .5" shorter diameter than the 215/45's and 10mm+ wider.
