R53 front end popping after LCA bushing change

Last weekend I dropped the sub frame on my Cooper S to change out the lower control arm bushings for the prepressed powerflex bushings from Way. The install took a while as I had never done a sub frame drop before and it seemed to go together great.

Now when I have the steering wheel turned and drop off the driveway from the house to the street I get a loud pop sound. It is coming from the drivers side. I am assuming ball joints now but I am not sure. I have 88k on the clock and and I don't think they have been changed out before.

Thoughts?

Too broad of a question, but my answer is going to be, make sure all the fasteners you loosened are retorqued to manufacture spec.

I double checked the torque values on everything and they are good. The control arm bushings were shot as I could move the front wheels forward and back an inch each direction. The arms came right out with the rubber in pieces which is why they were replaced.

I am pretty sure this car was beat on before I got it as there is a bunch of stuff that needs fixed.
