R61 Pop & Gurgle
Pop & Gurgle
So it might be my imagination but my wife commented on it too the other day so I'm thinking it's not. Just passed over a year and 9,500 miles on my Paceman and I'm hearing a lot more pop and gurgle out of it then I did before. It's a pretty cool happy sound that it makes whenever I'm decelerating and I really love it!
I pulled the second cat about 2000 miles ago and that wasn't immediate due to a mis-communication with the shop the resonator didn't go as well, and I still haven't gotten to it. So it sounds more like the mufflers opened up a bit.

The JCW Models will tend to pop and gurgle more then the Cooper S models even in sport mode. Sounds very good in the R60 R61 platform , but sounds even better in the R56-R59 platform, think its due to the muffler system being different then the R60 R61. Also after the JCW exhaust system packs the muffler insulation , it will tend to get a little more louder with age. So it only get better.
Post up some pics of the new Paceman JCW,.
