So the last few days I've noticed an odd sound when coming to a slow rolling stop. It's only noticeable at crawling speed. It happens with brakes applied and not applied. It's kind of a pulsing noise? A pulsing whine maybe? I don't think whine is the right adjective. Almost a "won won won" it's not the brakes as far as i can tell. To my ear it's almost like a bearing or an axle putting off the noise maybe? I have an appt scheduled for Tuesday, hope it's ok until then. 2013 hardtop S, 16k miles.

 

Hmmmm that's a hard one without hearing it in person. Brake booster maybe? Do let us know if they find anything!

Third tranny to go?! Talk about bad luck! (of course the one was your own doing, but still)

 

16k miles and 3 blown transmissions? Wow, it has to be due to your driving style, or there is something severely wrong. It's not coincidental at this point, unless they are rebuilding the same transmission and not giving you a new one?

That's an average of 5k miles a tranny, wow.
