Mariokart catless DP review!

My experience after less than 50 miles with my new M3 catless downpipe from Mario Palza:

First off the exhaust tone, it's deeper throatier and more pronounced. A much more aggressive tone. And this is with a stock exhaust from the downpipe back. Next and probably my favorite part, the "Burble and POP" is twice as loud and occurs much more frequently! I absolutely love that. And last but not least the top end power has increased a little, according to my butt dyno! WOT sounds amazing when those RPMs start climbing! An excellent product for the r56 Mini Cooper S!!! Thanks again Mario!

Looks good! I would recommend keeping the turbo heat shield on until you get the turbo and manifold ceramic coated too. Unless you've already put that part on and just took a picture. But the sound is addictive I'm sure. Wait till you get exhaust! it'll be that much better!

+1 on the heat shield. And depends on what exhaust you put on, not all of them sound good with a catless DP.

I may just get the second cat cut out and replaced with a straight pipe. But I was looking at the nm turbo back as an option for a full system, I don't wanna go full 3" and have a lot of drone, and without the heat shield what can happen?

I can say, I've impressed several people with the NM DP-Back exhaust paired with my Catless-DP. It does have a slight drone when driving 70mph+

I've seen some YouTube videos and heard some complaints that a couple with with their system experienced a high pitch whistle at highway speeds, but that nm corrected whatever was going on, did you ever have that issue?

No I have not. I got the exhaust almost a year ago & about 10,000 miles. No weird noises what so ever

check engine?

Did you ever get a CEL? I am interested in getting one for my 2010 MCS... Mario said they haven't gotten one but I'd like to hear it from another source.

Get rid of the second cat and leave the resonator. Won't have any drone.

The DP's I traditionally make for the R56 will trigger a CEL light, but most of my N14/N18 customers have a Manic Tune, so that takes care of this particular code. I do offer a special order N14/N18 catlless DP, that doesn't trigger a CEL, as well as DP's that need a third bung for WideBands. Send me a PM or email, if you are needing more info on the the 2nd O2 diverter or 3rd bung. Thanks MarioPalza@gmail.com mQubed Motorsport, Manic Tuning Dealer
