A MINIMUM bid of $23k required on this used, somewhat loaded '02 Mini Cooper? Wow! what a deal - NOT. This has been on Ebay for like 2 weeks and I don't think they have even gotten a bid. You think some of these people would take a little time and do some marlet research.

It makes me sick seeing the jerk off used car lots who get a hold of a base model mini and think that they are doing you a favor by offering it for $25,000+, especially when they are uneducated about the car and make crazy statements like the "chrysler mini" I don't consider myself a spiteful person, but I really hope that these dealerships and individuals get what's coming to them due to the fact they are taking advantage of a wonderful car and it's following. It's sad to see alot of Mini dealers here in California completly forget about the ideals/culture/history of this car, and soley see it as a way to make huges profits by charging over sticker, or charging $5,000 for lojak and perma plating (see also: "protection package&quot. Sorry for rambling but I had to vent, I've been trying for the last couple of months on getting a mini and it seems like everytime I call a dealership I get discouraged and ask myself if it is really worth it. Thankfully there are dealerships like long beach mini, and several on the east coast who are being standup individuals and selling at msrp, and care more about the culture, than exploiting a wonderful car. OK I'll shut up now, just my 2 cents.

On the other hand I have seen Mini's go for as low as $17K on ebay. It is like any auction, you just have to watch and be carefull.

Yep. I've watched just about every Mini auction over the last 5 or 6 months. Recently most of them go unsold as the reserves aren't met. But every so often one comes up with low or no reserve and it usually goes for a bargain. Right now there are a couple that are up for auction that are in that catagory that I think will go for a pretty decnt price.
