After 7 great years with my Coopers S, I am in need of more space and planning to purchase a Countryman soon to provide more space for my two kids. I had been looking at absolute black (my current Cooper S is midnight black and I love it), but now I see they are offering the new Jungle Green color in 2015 models. The photos I have seen from the NY Auto show look stunning, but I haven't been able to see it in person. Has anyone seen the color in person or do you have photos of this color in natural light conditions? It seems to be a more fun, vibrant green than the others I have seen MINI use in the past.

So....went to order this morning and was excited about the Jungle. Everyone at the dealer was excited because they hadn't had anyone order that color yet, however, when they went to place the order with production, it was kicked back due to the Jungle Green color having "reached its quota." Apparently this was a limited edition color has already been sold out. :( So, now I'm left with having to pick a new color, probably leaning to midnight gray. Seems crazy to me they have run out of Jungle Green cars before the 2015's even have hit the dealer floor.

Don't know where you went but they seem to be more willing to do business in the area rather than other CF dealers who want you to buy off the lot. Johnny Cee has had some good reviews on the web when it came to ordering and getting the right "deal". Check it out and hopefully the reviews are true.

 

Thanks, I'm not buying off the lot, though, I'm ordering. The factory is not taking any more orders for the Jungle Green color.

 

Yeah, I understood that were ordering and not settling for dealer stock.
I was just suggesting to try another dealer as they might have some Jungle Green orders already allocated to them and you could get lucky.
Doesn't hurt to call around. Especially since we only have 3 Mini dealers in the 75 mile radius of Central Florida.

 

Good point. There are some Jungle Greens allocated that already rolled off production and are on the way (two of them) but the specs weren't close enough to my configuration for me to want to go that route. If anyone really wants a Jungle Green and is somewhat flexible on the rest of the configuration, I'd recommend they follow your advice now and see what's floating out there and put dibs on it before it arrives at the dealer. The local dealer was only allocated a total of two in that color.

 

Update: got a call from MA earlier today and Jungle Green has shown back up in the system as an available color. I had already placed the order for a different color, but since it's not in production yet he was able to switch it to Jungle Green

 

I keep envisoning Mossy Oak stripes on Jungle Green.

LOL "Mossy Oak," I'm going with black myself, but I could see an argument for a green on green scheme and it would be cool. I'm thinking maybe more like "Lime Peel-out" or "Kiwi Quick" perhaps.
