The design is really cool though!
Can the pad be relocated further aft?
No because then you lose the cup holder.
I went with this one:

It can be found here
http://www.aiwana.com/Merchant/merch...y_Code=miniint
I haven't installed it yet since my car is out of comission right now, but I tested it on the floor, and although it looks small, 2 people can have their elbow on there
It's $50, instals in 5-10 minutes, and looks good (mini car, mini elbow pad) and keeps the ebrake handy (at least I think since it's not on the car yet) and the rear cup holder.
I know it takes 5-10 minutes to install because the only thing you have to do is place place those metal side walls like in the picture (without the pad) aligh the holes, then tighten the ***** that are under the pad (can't be seen in the picture)

To all concerned...this armrest (padded oval part) IS adjustable front to back as the main bracket has 3" slots in it that allow the oval pad to be slid front to back to suit the driver. There are knurled thumb screws underneath to make changing it on the fly fairly easy. To add to the 3" of travel you can unscrew the oval and rotate it 180 and reinstall it giving you another 1" either in the front or the back. The holes in the bottom of the oval are offset..not truly in the center of the pad. This is how I got it fit comfortably with 6'4" drivers as well as 5' drivers. Also, in it's maxed out forward position, it still does not interfere with the ebrake as it is about 3/4" above it and there is still room underneath to grab and pull the ebrake up fully.
We will also be replacing the random swirl finish with a powder coated finish that will match very well with the dash, interior plastic and leatherette color.....the other finish (soft brushed look) will still be offered

How about $139.95 (down from $170), but lets call it an 'organized sale', not a group buy
Here is the only request: I will need a exact list of parties interested and after a certain date like lets say ++++ AUGUST 8th +++++ I will then issue a discount code to everyone on the list which will in turn give them the discount price as noted. All orders must be placed through the website using Money order, VISA, MC, Discover or AM Ex. No Paypal, wire transfer, etc. please. We are not setup to handle any other forms of payment. The discount will not be active until August 8th.
Shipping will calcualted using actual 'ship to' zip code and method of shipment. For exact estimates please do a trial run on the website. You can back out before finalizing the 'fake' order. If there are a few people that want to have a bunch shipped to one address to save shipping that will work too, but all the items on the order must be paid for with one credit card.
If people want other items from us, they can purchase them at the same time, but the discount will only apply to ARC Armrest.

Recap:
1-Total list must be done by August 8th.
2-Orders cannot be placed until Aug 8th
3-Payment through our website. All major credit cards, money orders. NO Paypal, etc.
4-Shipping is charged as actual shipping to your zip code. For estimates, do a dry run on the Out Motoring website.
5-Everyone must try to be nice if there are delays
If you have any questions please re-read this post and then email me (Aaron)at:

Hi there,
I am interested in the armrest, but when I do the trial run to see how much the shipping would be, the site says:
"This item is out of stock...
We're sorry, the item you are trying to add to your order is currently out of stock. Please e-mail us for more details."
and I can't get a price. Anyone else have this screen too? If there is a way to check it, how much would it be to ship to 60139?

...yes, sorry, I have the inventory activated on this as I don't have people buying them while we don't have any in stock.....as soon as the next batch is ready (realistically this coming monday or tuesday) the inventory will be updated which will allo anyone to run a shipping estimate. We use UPS exclusively and shipping is based on actual weight and your zip code. You can do a 'test run' starting next week.
We blew through our first batch so fast that we have had a hard time catching back up with new production CAD data, production lead time, new vendors, etc.
There are a bunch of these ARC armrests out there, so if anyone wants to comment on how they work, etc. please do.

Aaron-thanks for a great offer. I'm in
--even though I have an armrest, its not completely satisfying--only my elbow rests when its as far forward as possible.
This is the first one I've seen that looks like its worth replacing my other one.
Is my reply here enough--I'm on the list? I'll place my order in August...

So, here's my quick head count. Did I miss anyone?

If there are any other interested parties, I suggest we wait a couple more days (how about 4 business days??) then we will initiate to sale at $139.95 for the Stainless Steel-brushed finish version with cupholder. We have about 16 in stock so we will not need to wait for a new batch!!
At this time, we do not intend to have a powder coated version for about 16 days or so at least, and that version will most likely NOT have the rear cupholder unless people here think it should. We are still in the early stages of that option and to make it reasonably priced we may need to reduce the number of bends, metal, etc.
So....any more people???? Are there any on this list that do not want to be on?

New member here. I hope it's not tool late to get in on the armrest. If it's not count me in. I've heard goo things about them. On a similar note on the 05 they changed the door armrest to bow out more so you can actually use it. I'm going to look into seeing if I can order just that part and change it out. It looks like 3 screws.
