Tire Light after resetting still stays on

OK, so what gives? I changed the brake pads, put in a new brake wheel sensor. Checked all my pressures, reset the tire warning and still the light comes back on every time. Any ideas? Could it be a bad wheel sensor, I noticed that it doesn't give a wheel just turns on the light.

This happened to me a while ago. It turned out the switch under the handbrake
was sticking in the puthed in position. After futzing with it a little, it was fine.
A bad sensor will also light the ABS light (and DSC if you have that).

thanks, but I have a 2007 and it doesn't have the button on the e brake. I did reset it several times from the button on the turn signal to no avail.

your 2007 may have in the wheel tpms sensors ... or it may not. The TPMS system changed mid year of the 2007 run. My 2007S did not have the 'active' system seen now. Cars on the same delivery truck did. So that's the first thing to check.

Post a picture of a valve stem and we may be able to tell.

2007 system does not identify which wheel until you read codes . . .

Steel valve stem, run flat tires. If it is in the wheel, how do you read codes to tell which wheel or is that a computer thing?

yep

that's the "active" tpms .. so you have an in the wheel sensor and so far as I know you need to go to the dealer to find out which one is throwing the code, unless you find a tire that keeps going low . . .

You could try going to a good tire store ... maybe reading the TPMS system is more generic than I'm aware of .... I've yet to have a car with TPMS & a low tire that identified which corner ... maybe my new Focus ST does . . . but fortunately I've not had the issue yet!

*****
but wait ....

I changed the brake pads, put in a new brake wheel sensor. Checked all my pressures, reset the tire warning and still the light comes back on every time.

WHICH warning keeps comin' on????? "tire warning" (tpms) has has no interaction with brake wear sensors

"the light" on a 7 can mean MANY different things . . . you need to go into the computer to figure out WHICH warning is making it light up . .

for example there is a warning when the brake sensor trips, and another for the brake COUNTER ..... did you reset the counter?

I had a feeling that is what they were. I'm going to try Americas Tire first, as I bought two sets from them already. No tire going low except by .5 lbs and that should not throw a code. My truck (Dodge) shows individual tires and pressure in each, it's just a matter of time before Mini will too. I need two tires again, so perhaps I'll have them do that and check the sensors at the same time. I'll let you know if I was successful that way.

Counter? no I don't even know where that is.

if you have the original tpms senders, they have about a 5 year lifespan until the batteries are exhausted ... they are not replaceable, you need new senders in the wheels

fwiw, the computer in my 2008 MCS indicates which tire triggered the tpms. It got that feature after a software update sometime in the last couple years. I would guess 2007 would be the same. In case you haven't received an update in a while.
