interesting supercharger concept

found this by accident today, thought it was neat and would share.

http://www.procharger.com/i-1supercharger.shtml

think its cool they put a "transmission" into the SC. wonder if it would fit in the R53? be cool do to program it to be a smaller pulley in low RPMs and a bigger pulley in higher rpms to combat heat, ect.

That would be sweet if they made one for a MINI. They look kind of big, not sure it would fit under the hood, lol.

The P-51 Mustang, and other aircraft of the era, had a 2 speed blower to supply more air at altitude.

Tried to find a spec sheet on it to see what the physical size of the package/unit is but all I could find is performance data and such.
Looks pretty big though, don't know if you could actually get it to physically fit in the space we have in our cars, at the very least you'd have to pull the a/c and relocate the alt. into the lower position where the a/c was...And of course EWP.

Interesting though, good find.

I would find space. Haha. It'll be my reason to buy a carbon fiber hood.
