OBD2 port no communicating

I've tried and tried to get my OBD reader to talk to my R56, but it just won't connect. The main reason is i need to reset my AIRBAG light, so I have another device that will reset the airbag light, but it won't connect either. I've checked the 5A fuse that under the right passenger footwell and it's fine....help...i'm exhausted. I also tried to use a laptop with the v57 software and couldn't connect either...so something is up with my OBD port....help!!!

When I had my MINI I always had a b itch of a time trying to get my DashDyno to connect to OBD2. It took me twenty-some times to get a connection at times. I could take that same tool and instantly connect to my GM cars. Just keep trying and it will eventually connect.

Have you tried any other OBD2 tools? I sold my old one just so I could use a OBD2-Wifi adapter and Dash Dyno. Works much better IMO

Two ODB connectors won't work? Hmm, sounds like a fuse, and yes I see you said you checked a 5A fuse but it still seems like it is a fuse. Did you check the correct one?

Try a third ODB reader? There is not much to that connection, if it is obvious none are pulled out from the back. No power to the OBD attachments? That is pin 1, I think.
