How much camber should i run?

I'm getting ready to align my mini after lowering it with h&r sport springs . I've added rear adjustable control arms and front std's .
How much camber should I run in the front and rear ? This is a daily driver no track . Mostly highway use but some twisty east tn roads .
I don't even know what stock is supose to be .
Also , should I take it to the mini dealer to have it aligned or would a alignment shop be ok . Knoxville mini wants $280 for a alignment .
Thanks for any help

Stock is about -1/2 degree front and -1 to -2 degrees back.

If you add camber plates to adjust the front, I'd say -1 to -1.5 front
camber with 0 to 1/16" toe (total L+R) in for a street daily driver. The front toe-in
is easy to set on all MINIs, providing the front control arm bushings are ok. If they
aren't the toe can flop back and forth and you can't get a consistent reading.
If not adding camber plates, leave the front camber at stock value since there's little
to no adjustment for the front camber on the Gen 1 R50/R53.

I'd go for -1 to -1.5 in the rear with 0 to 1/16" toe in also. You can adjust
the camber with the adjustable rear control arms, and the toe in by shifting
the rear trailing arm at its 3 mounting bolts or with 2 sets of adjustable rear
control arms (both uppers and lowers).

A good alignment shop should be every bit as good as the dealership.
Only advantage with the dealer is if your something is way off because
of bent parts, the parts department is already right there.

I shouldn't have anything bent and all my bushings are new . I'm not running camber plates in the front . Only strut tower defenders . I have adjustable control arms on the rear lowers . I don't want my tires to cup but I don't want to lose the grip that the mini is known for.
I'm gonna keep my toe end at zero but I wasn't for sure about my camber settings .

I'd agree with Cristo's recommendation, for what you are seeking. I think that is an wise suggestion and will give you excellent and safe handling.

I used to run more than two degrees up front, and one out back - but that was an autocross setup and under certain conditions (like cool wet roads) it could be a bit tail-happy.

Kind regards,

Charlie
