Traction control

I have a 2005 R50 and the traction light is on. Could it be because one of my ABS sensors doesnt work? Or how can I switch the traction control off? Please help.

Yes its because of your ABS sensor.

When i took my hub off to do my front lower control arm i unplugged the ABS sensor and i forgot to plug one of them back in. When i turned on the car both my ABS and traction lights (DSC) were on.

Hmm....no.
The failure of a abs/wheel speed sensor will almost ALWAYS result in a 3 light combo... Aka, a trifecta.....remember the tpms on the gen1 uses the abs/wheel speed sensors...so it will light up too!!
My traction control light came on as the first sign that the t-map was failing....a couple days later it started to run rough...especially in warmer weather.... Then threw a code. New t-map and map (an s has both, on on the hot side, and one on the gold side....about $77 each OEM, and all was fine. About a 25 minutes fix.
An non s has just one sensor, the same one the s uses as a cold side map (t unused) is used as a t-map...

I could be wrong, the traction control light being steady on means the system is off...and should be controlled by one of the toggles. It should default to on and the light should be off. If it has an Ian Cull auto up circuit for the windows, it can be programmed to turn off traction control at start up. If your windows go up with one touch of the toggle up, or a double tap up...you have an auto up circuit.

Yup...
Light on means it is off....flashing means it is intervening....
When some faults happen, the system is disabled.... Aka, the light comes on...a bad sensor disables the system or in some cases more than one system that uses that sensor...loose a wheel speed sensor...you lose the DSC/asc+t, the abs, AND rpms.....
I think we all understand what the op means. Lol...we all have a owners manual in the glove box...or have downloaded I hope!!
