I was reading that Mini Connected will support Go Pro.
Does anyone know if this will be available for the 2014 Mini Countryman with Mini Connected.

I am hoping that there is a firmware update.
Then again the size of the internal flash storage may be smaller than the Minis with the newer interface.
Just wondering is all.

GoPro tested and working in 2011 Countryman...

 

Where did you find the Connected software? Did you get it on the Mini site or from GoPro themselves?

 

I've got the latest MINI Connected App installed on my iPhone 4S, the latest GoPro App installed, both in the iTunes Store. Connecting iPhone through BMW/MINI Y-Cable. Have your GoPro connected to your iPhone through Wi-Fi. Launch MINI Connected, wait for the usual list of options to load, Plugin, Driving Excitement etc. Scroll to More apps, and you will find GoPro App listed, Launch and you're good to go. Alternatively I think you can Launch by selecting the GoPro App on you're iPhone and then connecting the phone to the cable.

 

Does this still work for you?

I click on the go pro app in mini connected, then the go pro app launches on the iPhone and nothing happens. Followed your instructions exactly.

 

BTW, I have a Hero 4 Silver, and iPhone 6+ with iOS 8

Should work , did you try lunching the go pro app on the phone, instead of launching MINI connected ?

 

Yep. And still no luck. I will try again today, but I spent hours the other day trying to get it to work with no luck.

 

Tried again today when I got home from work. Still no luck. This message did pop up at one point: "Update MINI Connected application on external device." I've checked and I have the latest version of the app. Not sure what else to do. Guess I should go to the dealer?

 

Yea, if you updated the app, maybe they need to flash the Nav driver or there is an error. Your under warranty they will cover it.

 

Thanks ECS. I have a couple other warranty items to take up with them, so I guess it's about time to go in. I'll try to remember to report back here after I get my car serviced.
