I had a 2009 Cooper S convertible with the stock radio and it was terrible. No volume at all. How is the stock radio in the F56. My MA says the stock radio speakers are made by Harman Kardon???

 

I think it sounds pretty decent, I definitely want more 'punch ' though. Guess I'll have to get an aftermarket amp and sub for that.

 

I am not sure if the stock speakers are HK speakers but I have sat in a F56 with the base set and I have the HK system in mine. The HK system is vastly superior in my opinion and well worth the money if you are not looking to upgrade the system yourself.

 

think there may be confusion. the radio and the speakers are 2 separate things. i have the stock radio (non-visual) but have the HK and it's fine for my tastes. bass may not be aftermarket strong but it's enough for me to enjoy the song.

 

Yeah, sounds like the MA was showing you a car with the HK speaker system ($750 option, or part of several packages), but with the standard radio. Can also get the Media Package or Wired Packages and get the Connected + Visual Boost entertainment system without getting the HK speakers. Two different things like MarcoPolo said.
