No matter the outdoor temps are, with a modest intake scoop I see 20*+ above ambient while cruising on highway, and not on boost.

With the Palo Uber Scoop I see 12-15* above ambient. The Uber and the M7 Extreme scoops both turned in the best IAT's with my set up according to Scanguage II. They just grabb a crap load more air.

Tough to determine static temps while in traffic due to road composition/temperature, weather, time of day, ac on or off and other variables.

ALTA DFIC, ALTA CAI, ALTA 17% scp. ALTA Sport Tone Exhaust, M7 Upper Grill, M7 180* thermostat.

I have been wanting to put up a video of the IAT, I have a gauge on each side of my Intercooler so I can see the temps coming out of the SC and after the Intercooler.

I can also see the aft temps when I am injecting W/M.

As stated above, to see temps under normal operating condition, very little load and 20°F above ambient coming out of the intercooled side is not uncommon.

I see a 40°F reduction at highway speed / cruising, aft intercooler, and only a 11°F difference when in traffic or in other slow to no movement static conditions.

interesting results... my buddy has a alta divierter and he has lower temps than me, we both have the same mods. except for the diverted.

i was looking into buying the ddmworks one at some point in time... maybe sooner is better than later. now im thinking on getting a bigger scoop too.

I checked mine once when I first bought my elm 327 and dash command, it was 10 degrees above ambient while driving.

i need a bigger scoop myself, i liked the new diverter, i think it allows for more even flow across the IC than the stock plastic one

anyone ever notice how high there temps get when stuck in traffic? i was stuck in traffic this morning for an hour this(630am-730am) morning and i was hitting temps of 178*F, it was littearly stop and crawl for half a second and stop again. it is also in the high 50s low 60s today and raining.

normal or is it getting a little hot under the collar? maybe i need to clean out my IC.

So can High temps do any damage?

When sitting at my sons school IAt's get into the 168 range? Would that go away with new larger inter-cooler? Or should I not be worried until (anyone know that nogo temp?).
