Anyway to bypass depress clutch to start?

Hey guys been having a few problems with my clutch last few days, if i try and change above 6000 rpm from 1-2-3 gear it would lock me out, I would have to change around 4.5 to 5 to not have a lock out. At first I thought the transmission fluid was low and I topped it up with a quart. Same problem. I decided to flush the brake fluid opened the little nipple on slave and let it gravity drain out and constantly topping up.

All well going ok, but the person helping didnt hear me and depressed the clutch, I am guessing some air got trapped in there. Anyway everything started up ok and a I took the car for a drive and that was ok.

I got back parked the car and needed to pop out a few hours later, i heard a grinding wining sound, I tried it again same thing. It finally refused to turn over no sound and no sign of a the picture it shows to depress the clutch to start.

So I am really short of ideas could the clutch have gone, and wouldnt it at least turn over, or if there air in the system and not allowing it to see i am tramping the clutch.

Is there anyway to bypass the clutch to start?

There isn't really a stand-alone switch like on some other cars. It's sort of integrated into the pedal/master assembly from what I can tell. That said if the car isn't starting it likely isn't a problem with the clutch switch.

Your post isn't particularly clear. What do you mean by "lock you out"? You topped up the transmission fluid without knowing how much was in there? There is a specified amount that should be in the transmission. You should have filled it till trans fluid ran out the fill hole. If there was no fluid overflowing then the trans is still low on fluid. I'd be more worried about why your trans is low on fluid than anything else at this point.

I'm guessing your slave failed or you didn't tighten down the bleed screw properly. Will the car roll (engine off) with the trans in gear and clutch pedal depressed? If not then your clutch isn't disengaging. Have someone push the clutch pedal while you watch the slave on the front side of the transmission and make sure it's moving.

By lockout I meant to say that, when in first gear and reving at 6000rpm as I push the clutch in to change into second, The gears wouldnt go in until the revs dropped slightly to around 4-5000 rpm, not sure why it was doing that.

Great idea about pushing in gear with clutch going to try that later. Thanks.

You might be able to bypass the clutch safety switch, but that won't help if there's an issue with the clutch actuation.

Just a heads up, the clutch release fork lever was the one that cracked. God knows why... so explains why I was having issues when trying to get into gear as it was not releasing properly.
