F55/F56 DMV charges
DMV charges
Taxes mandatory
Registration fees for a State license mandatory.
However the Dealer charging $150 to submit the online paperwork to
the Department of Motor vehicles is usury
They are required by law to report that sale.
Anybody else being charged a DMV service fee?

Mrdi, that's typical Stealership strategy. It falls into the same category as window etching, paint or fabric protection, nitrogen in the tires, etc.
Charges like that are pure profit to the stealer.

Hmm, I've got a $187.45 Proc/Doc fee on my purchase agreement, plus a $170 for Government Fees (which is about $40 higher than what my state's DMV site says for new vehicle registration and plates), guess I'll be mentioning these fees before signing to see what room there is to exclude them...
Going back to 2005...
I paid sticker...but not a penny more...
Brought a plate...and drove it home...no fees...no paperwork....
Gave the dealer a check....said I did not need any extra services....as a nh resident, was not even charged sales tax in Massachusetts where I bought the car.....
