Thinking of buying a 2011 Countryman All4 S

Looking at one with 65,000km S, what should I look for? Any flaws on this year model? Coming from 2007 X5 4.8i....so should I get it or run. My wife really likes it and I like it because I love German cars but not their realibility though BTW it's Automatisch

Buying a MINI CM -- good idea you will love it and it will meet all your expectations of a german driving like vehicle
Buying a 2011 MINI CM -- not such a good idea as it was the first year of the model and had a few issues especially the clutch in the manuel transmission.
Side-note -- I also came from a BMW X5 4.8 into a MINI CM S and share your passion for a german engineered vehicle. No regret at all, some people question my decision to go from a BMW to a MINI but I enjoy the thrill of the MINI. I suggest getting a 2012 or better. Motor on

I bought a used 2011 ALL4S last year , and touch wood have had no problems whatsoever, clutch is fine, the runflats are harsh but then that's always the case.Other than that they are a blast to drive.

I've had no leaks , rattles yes, I particularly have trouble with the console that contains the map lights sunroof switches, on crappy roads it will buzz, MINI's are notorious for squeaks , rattles etc.I think the runflats contribute to this, once mine are close I'll scrap them.

The only thing I would say is check the clutch if you get a standard. My clutch just went on my 2012 at 25000 miles. Taking mine in for a new clutch next week.

No warning signs. Just did the Hudson Valley Run two weeks ago and it ran great. Two days ago, I noticed going up a hill (which there are many where I live) that in 2nd gear my engine revved more than usual. Shortly after, I had a strong smell of a burning clutch. I am not one to ride my clutch. There is no way I would burn it out so soon.

Well that blows, I wasn't suggesting you had anything to do with the clutch failing I was just checking to see if I can expect the same. I noticed yours was Oxford Green they may have looked the same once but I've got a ways to go to catch up to you with mods.
Cheers

How can you tell whether it's a Sport or Non Sport package? The wheels?

Yes, I'm pretty sure the sport package comes with 18's, although being MINI means you can configure it as you wish, if you're getting it from a dealer they should list the sport package, I also think if you check the VIN it will list options

Did you remove the headlights to dip them? What years your CM? Package? I like the black wheels, will try to get some aftermarket later.
