Second Creek June 30th???

Another Second Creek Track day on Wed June 30th around 9 am.

We had so much fun last month let's do it again. Some of you have new tires, at least I hope you do. I'll need new brake pads. I think Tim would like harness.

THe last one was a blast. Now that I've got new tires I can't wait for another go at it. If I weren't going out of town for a family vacation, I'd join you!

Mark,

Talk to John Manss (sp?)

He is the owner of Bodylines. They are at 1413 E Olive Ct. Take Link Lane past the Hunt Club, turn left before Allen P&H, that is Olive Ct. Bodylines is on the south side in the second row of buildings, kinda hidden from the street.

telephone # is 221-4576

Tell John that Grant the South African sent you.

I am interested in your stock front brake rotors. Let me know how much.

Grant

I'm a maybe. The car goes in for surgury on Monday ($1600!), it might not be done in time. I also blistered one of my Kumhos at the Solo Trials, so I'll need to decide if I want to run on the Corsa's. I have Avon TechR's on order, but they won't come until July.

03Indigo can you bring the Ferodo/2500 to the track?

Hey Guys,

Really looking forward to another track day I guess we can excuse Randy for missing since he'll be at East Meets West with the new Roll Bar equiped Mule.

Thanks for inviting the Nurses. Maybe they can doctor up Mark's hopefully repaired "tire-wall" kissing MINI if he slides again. I'e invited a JCW Mini and a Saab friend as well.

Jeff, Tim and John from Boulder

no one has really committed, some are trying to change their work schedules, but I know a few that will most likely attend. I am sure none of them have helmets, so if you have extras for them to use, that would be cool, some are real pumped about ride alongs.

cheers

Jeff (Masher) and I were the only ones with MINIs out there, a friend of Jeff's was there, learning track driving for the first time, he did pretty good for such a youngster, hehehe. Jason and Pat from RMCB5.com were there. Pat did not drive, but went for ride alongs. There was a Yamaha R1 there, but he was a lot more "calm" than the last motorcycle dude we had a "run in" with . There was also a corvette that freaked me out, he was fishtailing behind me and I saw the side of his car 4 times in one corner, opposite sides, he was all over...so I got off the track after I saw that. Sheesh, those over powered rear wheel drive cars...hehehe.

We missed you, hopefully we can catch you out at the August 20th track day...should be a lot of fun.

cheers

Great day, time for a brake bleed.

What a beauty of a day at SCR. Cool, mellow day unless the Corvette was trying drive at the same time. Spin Cycle anyone?

Jon, James says thanks for the test drive, he's go the MINI fever,

Jeff

Welcome Back John,

Track day was awesome, Jeff and I were there with the MINIs, he brough a buddy of his, James, who was in a rag top Saab, a freind of mine was driving his Passat W8, and the only others out there were a Yamaha R1 and a corvette.

Outside of my friend with the Passat making me nauseated (he is not a good driver), and the corvette being all over the road and frightening me to death out of the middle hairpin, it was a great day. My friend with the Passat needs some lessons big time, he tore through a set of brakes, HP-2 high performance double piston calipers, same ones I have on my Audi, and a brand new set of Goodyear Eagle F1s..he went of track several times. He still needs to learn that sometimes slower is faster. I rarely get sick in a car, but after only 2 laps, I wanted out...took all afternoon for my stomach to settle

Anyway, we had fun...Jeff let me drive his S with the Falkens on there, that was way fun. I need better tires for sure, that will make a huge differentce, but so will that turbo once we get that installed, hehehe.

see ya soon

Was that already a week ago?

Thanks for the car swap. I too enjoyed driving your Cooper and chasing you driving in my S. Young Mr. James is completedly hooked on the Cooper after you so kindly loaned him your keys. That wallowy SAAB made him sick and he was the one driving it.

ps I have Pat's helmet, which got left at the track, call me 588-7393 to set up a time to pick it up

I think Pat is out of town right now, maybe i can get it from you someday next week, we can all meet for lunch or something. I am still waiting for your pads to come in, but once they get here, i will deliver them to you.

Brad, awesome!!! I am so glad that you are gonna make it, I miss seeing that MINI of yours, one of my favorites. Are you going to the MINI5280 meeting on Tuesday? Where is it anyway, I have been a bit out of touch lately, and don't want to miss anything.

cheers
