Squeaking brakes on a new MC

Hey guys...Just wondering if there is something wrong with my brakes already. Got the new Mini about three weeks ago and from time to time I hear squeaking. Just wondering if this normal or if it is something I should call the dealer about? Happens maybe once every two to three days. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Probably normal. Disc brakes will squeal at times. If it isn't pulling or is not stopping as it should get it checked. The dust you see on your wheel is from the brake pads and the dust itself is sometimes the cause of the squeal.

Alright...I guess I won't let it bug me for now. I do see brake dust on the wheels, so that probably is the cause, hopefully.

My brakes tends to squeak after there is some oxidation on the rotor
after a car wash or sitting in the rain. It will squeak at less than 5mph
to a stop. wat I usually do is spray some RC car motor spray onto
the pad to clean it off. For some reason, it appears it is always the outer
pad that's making the squeak.

A drop of WD40 on a cold rotor will also work too, but I would recommend
cleaning the pad with a blast of the RC car motor spray first as you want
to try to stay away from excessive oils on the rotor or pads.

Yeah, mine tend to squeak when I'm parking so its also happening below 5mph. Anyway, thank goodness its not really a problem, I guess. Where can I pick up that RC motor car spray? A hobby shop or something???

Is the brake cleaner and RC motor spray the same thing? It smells very
similar... I haven't tasted it yet.
